Anniversary 1926 official opening of Park
Neville Chamberlain, then Minister of Health, opened Gunnersbury Park to the public on 21 May 1926, the Friday before the late May Bank Holiday weekend. The Park superintendent reported “crowds large on Saturday, tremendous on Sunday and overwhelming on Monday”.
