The struggle over the future of the bowling green and pavilion is being played out on Gunnersbury’s notice boards.

In late March, graffiti demanding David Bowler’s resignation appeared on notice boards and walls around the Park, and was swiftly cleaned off. Bowls club members immediately denied any involvement. There is a press statement on the VisitGunnersbury web site relating to this.

 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday we were sent photographs of new notice board panels which had gone up around the Park, showing Putt in the Park on the bowls green and pavilion.

Putt in the Park has not yet secured planning permission – we expect the decision on this to be made in June.

Immediately after being informed, LB Hounslow’s lead director on the CIC Board ordered the noticeboards to be removed.
