The Gunnersbury Museum & Park Development Trust has once again announced projects for which members of the public can vote. These are described in short films on their website. One scheme would provide bursaries to local schools who would otherwise miss out on the Gunnersbury school sessions, another provides new benches and the third would see free to use outdoor gym equipment installed in the Park. Voting is open on the website until 2 January.

Having seen the benefits of outdoor equipment in other parks this was one of the facilities the Friends campaigned for when the regeneration of the estate was being planned more than a decade ago. The then Gunnersbury Park Joint Advisory Panel was also keen on this concept but sadly the project team who developed the final scheme ignored this. It would be a great opportunity to fulfill this ambition if the funding was agreed this time round!
