The Museum of London is recruiting a small team of volunteers from LB Hounslow, preferably Brentford residents, for an exciting 5-week community archaeology project. Based in Brentford, the project will begin on 18 June and end in the week beginning 16 July. Volunteers will attend on one day a week working with Museum of London staff on re-packaging archaeology excavated from the local area. The project will allow volunteers to learn about and handle real archaeological objects, work in a team and develop transferable skills. Volunteers will also learn public presentation skills and Museum of London staff in running an archaeology open day at Gunnersbury Park Museum on Sunday 22 July 2012.
